I'm a PhD student in the Bains Lab at the Krembil Brain Institute. I study a population of cells that control the body's stress response (hypothalamic CRH neurons). I am interested in the neural circuitry which perceives and evaluates information it receives from the environment to dictate when a stress response is warranted. To accomplish this, I use in vivo calcium imaging with miniature micro-endoscopes (miniscopes). I also design and build tools for data analysis, reducing complex computations to a few button clicks.
